Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A Hyderabad-based physiotherapist, Praveen Boda, was arrested on Sunday for the alleged murders of his wife and two young daughters, which he tried to pass off as a car accident. The incident occurred on May 28 when the family was traveling from Hyderabad to their native village in Khammam district. Praveen initially reported that their car crashed into a roadside tree, resulting in the deaths of his wife, Boda Kumari, 26, and their daughters, aged 2 and 3.
Suspicion arose during the investigation at the accident scene, prompting a thorough probe that revealed Praveen had orchestrated the entire incident. According to Khammam ACP SV Ramanamurthy, Praveen, who was involved in an extramarital affair with a colleague, saw his family as an obstacle to his illicit relationship. He administered a fatal injection to his wife and then strangled his daughters before staging the car crash. The meticulous investigation uncovered the truth, leading to Praveen's arrest 45 days after the crime.
